Recent API key leaks have led to a series of security issues caused by matched orders. To prevent such incidents, MEXC has especially come up with the API key renewal and tradable crypto pairs setting function for API users. The details are as follows: 

• Renewal function: You can set a renewal on “My API Key” page 5 days before the expiration of your key. The validity of the API key will be extended for 90 days after the renewal. This can reduce the risk of leakage caused by customers creating API keys multiple times.
  
  
• Tradable crypto pairs setting function: You can set tradable crypto pairs on "My API Key" page for API keys with trading permission. After setting them up, you can only trade these crypto pairs using the API key.  This will help to prevent the risk of the user’s assets being matched due to the leakage of the API key.

MEXC does not recommend users disclose their API key to any third party. If users need to hand over their API Key to a third party, we suggest you set up a tradable crypto pair to prevent asset risk. For the safety of your assets, MEXC recommends that you link your API key to a whitelisted IP.
