1. What causes risk control measures to be triggered?


To maintain a secure and trustworthy trading environment for all users, the platform's risk control team conducts thorough analyses when an account triggers risk control measures. These strategies are integral to the platform’s security framework, and as such, we are unable to disclose specific details. We encourage users to review the User Agreement for further guidance.

To apply for the removal of risk control restrictions after triggering them, the following steps should be taken:

2.1 What to do if an account triggers risk control and how to submit risk control information


If an account triggers risk control measures, the required information can be submitted for removal by following the instructions below:
  • Web: At the bottom of the homepage,select Help CenterSubmit Risk Control Removal Request, and complete the form as guided by the instructions provided on the page.
  • App: Go to HomeMoreServicesHelp CenterSubmit Risk Control Removal Request. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the required form.

If the submission has already been made, please wait patiently for the review and processing.

2.2 Why is my account unable to perform Spot or Futures Trades?


If your account cannot access trading features, the possible reasons may include:
1)MEXC does not support the use of this feature in your country or region.
2)Your account has not completed the KYC verification process.
3)Your account has triggered risk control restrictions.

If it is confirmed that your account has triggered risk control measures, please follow the instructions below to submit the required information for the removal of restrictions:

2.3 Why is my account unable to withdraw funds?


If your account is currently unable to process withdrawals, the possible reasons may include:
1)Withdrawals are restricted for 24 hours after resetting security verifications.
2)After self-freezing the account, withdrawals are disabled for 24 hours following the unfreeze.
3)Withdrawals are restricted for 24 to 72 hours after completing an OTC transaction.
4)The account has triggered other risk control measures.
5)Withdrawals are not allowed for 24 hours for newly signed up accounts.
6)If the whitelist feature is enabled, withdrawals are restricted for 24 hours after adding a new address.
7)If the whitelist feature is disabled, withdrawals are restricted for 24 hours after disabling it.

2.4 Why am I unable to open a sub-account?


If you are unable to open a sub-account, your account may have triggered risk control measures. To apply for the removal of restrictions, please follow the steps below:
  • Web: Visit the MEXC official website, navigate to the bottom of the homepage, and select Help CenterSubmit Risk Control Removal Request. Follow the instructions on the page to complete the submission.
  • App: Open the MEXC App, then go to HomeMoreServicesHelp CenterSubmit Risk Control Removal Request. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the submission.

2.5 Why was my account deletion request denied?


A request to delete an account may be denied for the following reasons:
1)The submitted information is incomplete or contains inaccuracies. Please review the email notification and provide the required complete and accurate details as instructed.
2)The account has triggered risk control measures. It is necessary to resolve these restrictions by submitting a risk control removal request before proceeding with the account deletion request.

2.6 Will affiliate commissions be issued if the account is under risk control?


If the affiliate commission status shows Pending Distribution but no commission has been received, the possible reasons include:
1)The referred user or account has triggered risk control measures.
2)The affiliate account itself has been flagged for risk control.

3.1 How should I proceed if there are no updates on my submitted risk control removal request?


If a risk control removal request has been submitted but no progress updates are visible, it is likely because the request is still under review. MEXC typically completes reviews within 24 hours. Please wait patiently for the outcome.

3.3 Can the risk control period be extended?


If there are additional changes or updates to the account's risk control status, the restriction period may be extended. In such cases, MEXC will notify the user via the email address linked to the account. Please refer to the email notification for the updated risk control expiration timeline.


4.1 What should I do when unable to receive rewards when risk control was triggered during the event?

Event applications may be declined if the event requirements are not met; for further inquiries, please contact customer support via the [Customer Support] icon.

4.2 Why am I unable to participate in the event?


1)Participation in this event is not supported in certain regions.
2)Risk control measures have been triggered, preventing participation.
3)The event details specify the types of users who are ineligible to participate.
4)Certain special events are only open to select users.


5.1 What should I do if I receive "Risk Control: Please Use a Different Bank Card" error when linking a Bank Card for OTC


The risk control system has identified that the specified bank card cannot be linked or verified. It is advised to follow the on-screen instructions to select an alternative bank card or consider other available methods to complete your transaction.

5.2 Why can't I withdraw other assets after conducting an OTC transaction?


In accordance with MEXC's risk control policies and the user agreement, assets purchased through fiat transactions can only be withdrawn after a 72-hour holding period.
