We had an exciting and insightful AMA session with King Lumos, owner of LUMOS on September 2, 2024, in the MEXC Telegram group. The LUMOS team shared valuable insights about their project, upcoming developments, and future plans, while also answering a range of questions from our community.

MEXC: What is LUMOS ? Can you share with us more in detail?
King Lumos:
LUMOS is more than just a memecoin; it's the embodiment of King Lumos, a funny, lovely, wise, and witty ruler who brings a new twist to the meme culture on the blockchain!
King Lumos represents the first of its kind—a, a charismatic LEADER with a unique personal brand that transcends the typical meme framework.
The project is a complex branding endeavor with long-term objectives, making LUMOS a memecoin with depth. Beyond humor and fun, LUMOS is dedicated to charitable causes and utility within the Sonic (and soon other chains) ecosystem.
With its narrative-driven approach and a growing community (already at 14M mcap), LUMOS aims to become a symbol of more meaningful engagement in blockchain space.
MEXC: Why was LUMOS started? What’s the story behind it?
King Lumos:
LUMOS was born out of the need for a distinctive meme that could drive adoption within the Sonic ecosystem, with the ambitious goal of reaching a billion-dollar market cap.
Memes have proven to be powerful tools for community building, and Fantom needed one that could go beyond mere entertainment.
LUMOS, with its engaging character and long-term development roadmap, fits this need perfectly.
The project also served as a successful test for WigoSwap's innovative Burn-to-Mint mechanism, where 3,500 participants burned 111 million WIGO tokens (worth $2.5 million) to mint LUMOS tokens. This launch not only proved the viability of the mechanism but also set the stage for LUMOS as a meme with real utility and future potential!
MEXC: What is LUMOS? How does it differentiate from other consensus?
King Lumos: Unlike traditional animal-themed memes, LUMOS introduces a charismatic leader—King Lumos—who has the power to unite a loyal community around him.
The Burn-to-Mint launch on DEX WigoSwap was not only large-scale but also transparent, making LUMOS one of the most equitable memecoin launches in space. By focusing on building a KINGDOM (Really) rather than just a following, LUMOS is poised to create a lasting impact.
MEXC: What do you think are the main problems facing our industry, and how will the LUMOS consensus empower and solve them?
King Lumos: One of the main challenges in the blockchain and especially memes industry is the perception that memes are merely trash content catering to moonboys without substance.
LUMOS seeks to change this narrative by developing a new identity that challenges centralized power structures while embracing the decentralized ideals of blockchain.
I'm a mindset's symbol for people.King Lumos and his kingdom mock the flaws of worldly systems, encouraging people to think critically about the world around them. By building a culture of interest in decentralization, LUMOS aims to empower its community to challenge the status quo and embrace the true potential of blockchain technology!
MEXC: Please tell us more about the vision and mission of LUMOS .
King Lumos: The vision of King Lumos is to lead the biggest charity in the world helping people break free from the injustices they face. His mission is to inspire his community to think big and act boldly in their lives, without fear of the obstacles that lie ahead. By combining humor, wisdom, and purpose, LUMOS seeks to build a kingdom where people can achieve great things together, driven by a shared sense of mission and vision.
MEXC: How have you built up such a strong community?
King Lumos: Short answer: combination of innovative content, personal branding, and a compelling narrative. Not like other memes. King has invested in quality and it's just the beginning! By creating a character as engaging as King Lumos, the team has managed to capture the imagination of a diverse audience. The use of storytelling, unique graphics, and engaging content has turned community members into loyal followers who see themselves as part of a larger kingdom. This approach ensures that the community remains active, invested, and eager to contribute to the project's success.

User 1: Many meme coin projects are built on Solana and ETH networks, but Lumos is different. Why did you decide to build Lumos on Fantom?
King Lumos：Choosing Sonic (Fantom) as blockchain has several strategic reasons.
First, Sonic offers high speed, low transaction costs, and excellent scalability, which are crucial for a community-driven project. Moreover, we saw an opportunity to bring a unique, charismatic meme to this ecosystem. Our partnership with WigoSwap, the leading DEX on Fantom, also played a significant role in this decision. By launching Sonic and being able to leverage Sonic's advancements, LUMOS aims to drive adoption and bring more attention to this high-performance blockchain ecosystem, while also benefiting from its growing community and technological advancements. Sonic launch in next months will have huge hype in the market and LUMOS will be the 1st and best meme on Sonic!
User 2:Does your project support farming? How does it work, and what are the requirements?
King Lumos: Yeah! LUMOS supports farming through our partnership with WigoSwap.
The farming process is straightforward: users can stake their LUMOS tokens in designated pools on WigoSwap. The requirements are minimal - users just need to hold LUMOS and paired tokens (FTM or WIGO) and connect their wallet to WigoSwap to add liquidity. Currently, LUMOS has more than $2M liquidity on WigoSwap!
User 3:LumosCoin is designed to empower creators and innovators in the Web3 space. Can you elaborate on how you specifically support and incentivize these creators, and what unique features set it apart from other Web3-focused platforms?
King Lumos: We have established a creator fund that provides grants and resources to artists, developers, and content creators who contribute to the LUMOS ecosystem.
Additionally, we are designing regular community challenges and hackathons, offering LUMOS tokens as rewards for innovative ideas and projects.
What sets us apart is our focus on combining creativity with humor and wisdom, encouraging creators to think outside the box and create content that not only entertains but also educates and inspires. By fostering this unique blend of creativity and purpose, LUMOS is creating a vibrant ecosystem that stands out in the Web3 space.
User 4:Which part of the project are you most focused on right now? I want to ask, which one is the most important for you in developing the community and increasing the value of the project? Which one will you do first?
King Lumos: Currently, our primary focus is on expanding our ecosystem and strengthening our community engagement. We believe that a strong, active community is the backbone of any successful blockchain project, especially for a meme-inspired token. To achieve this, we're implementing a multi-faceted approach.
First, we're enhancing our social media presence and community to create momentum.
Second, we're developing more utility for the LUMOS token, including partnerships with other projects.
Third, we're working on GameFi, an educational decentralized game to bring millions to our ecosystem and help them learn about blockchain alongside earning.
These activities have a direct impact on our project value. At the time of writing this, we're breaking LUMOS ATH!
User 5: What is your revenue model? In which ways do you generate revenue/profit? So many projects just like to speak about the "long term vision and mission", but what are your short term objectives? What are you focusing on right now?
King Lumos: OK, our short-term objectives include increasing liquidity, expanding our partnerships, and launching new features as token utility.
Currently, we're focusing on enhancing our DeFi offerings, including yield farming and liquidity mining programs. We're also developing a learn-to-earn game that will integrate LUMOS tokens, creating another avenue for engagement and revenue generation. Also, we have close communication with major investors in the market too, who are eager to invest in LUMOS development. By balancing these short-term revenue-generating activities with our long-term vision, we ensure the project's ongoing development and value creation for our community.
